Director of Corporate Reporting Ms. Al-Bassam joined Manhattan Hospitality Advisors as Director of Corporate Reporting. Her primary responsibilities include client reporting, asset valuation, market research, and feasibility studies. Prior to joining Manhattan Hospitality Advisors, Ms. Al-Bassam was a consultant for Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA, where she worked closely with the operations management team. Her projects included restructuring the employee incentive program, streamlining the guest intake process, transforming Guest Services into a paperless department, and completing a property-wide budget analysis. Ms. Al-Bassam previously worked in New York for three years, reporting directly to the President of Bear, Stearns Securities, Corp. Her responsibilities included competitive analysis, new products and services development, existing products and services enhancement, sales, and electronic client interface management. Ms. Al-Bassam has also worked internationally for the Saudi Aramco Oil Company as a member of their Treasury Department where she invested billions of dollars in oil revenues, developed foreign currency hedge strategies, and helped manage the employee retirement fund portfolio. Ms. Al-Bassam earned an MBA in Finance with Honors from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Stanford University. She is fluent in Arabic and proficient in Spanish.
